a bigger contribution.
Enterprise creates more than a successful company. It creates livelihoods, opportunity and the tax revenues that help support public services.
The Economic Contributor Awards recognise the founders behind that contribution — and give their achievements a moment in the spotlight.
A lifetime of contribution
The inaugural awards recognised founders whose businesses were estimated to have generated at least £5 million in lifetime UK tax, including corporation tax and the employment taxes associated with the jobs they created.
This was the recognition basis for the 2026 awards. Arrangements for future awards will be announced separately.

A first chapter

The inaugural Economic Contributor Awards took place at a private lunch at The Hurlingham Club on 15 September 2026, during Pensions & Wealth Live.
The lunch brought together business founders with Sir Jeremy Hunt MP and Martin Vander Weyer, Business Editor of The Spectator.

What do the awards recognise?
The awards recognise business founders’ contribution to the UK economy through the businesses they build, the jobs they create and the taxes those businesses generate. The recognition basis used for the inaugural awards is set out above.
Are the awards part of Pensions & Wealth Live?
The inaugural awards were held at a private lunch during Pensions & Wealth Live on 15 September 2026. The format for 2027 is still to be confirmed and may be standalone or part of the event.
